I mustache you a question.
I should grow a mustache for Seattle. Hmm…
Anywho, work was okay. I figured out why I hate my Wednesday shifts. Yes the customers are rather stupid, but also the people that work evenings have no sense of urgency or team work. I come from that olde fashioned idea that if you want to make money (tips), you give the best costumer service you can to each and every guest. That also comes from the fact that all baristas should work as a team. But I found that I had to take orders, ring up, and make the drinks myself. When I make drinks for the other baristas, they seem confused. They also move at a glacial pace instead of trying to make the drink as quickly as possible or taking that order as soon as they get to the register or the voice box.
I had to run the shift today for about two hours. All the shift leads were in a meeting with our GM, so I had to run the shift as the next person in the leading totem pole (GM, shift leads, trainer). That was kinda fun.
I am home now, eating yesterday’s chicken and biscuits and having a beer. It feels good.
